Groups help organizations collaborate and share resources. All members use the same book and lesson plans, allowing the content to be standardized and synchronized.
Types of Group Members
Groups consist of three types of users: (1) members, (2) editors, and (3) the administrator/owner.
Users who are invited to join the group receive the status of a group member. Group members can view the group’s book, lesson plans, and slideshows. Essentially, they have access to all features of this site but cannot make any content changes.
Group editors can make changes to the group’s book and lesson plans.
The group administrator is the original creator of the group and is responsible for making site payments. The administrator can view all group members, specify which members have editing privileges, and remove existing members by visiting the group’s page.
Control your Group Members with an Access Code
You can pick a secretive access code (a password), to prevent unauthorized users from accessing your group. You can share the access code with anyone that you want to join. You can change the access code from your group’s page after it is created.
The access code should be hard to guess, but easy to remember and share. It can contain capitalized letters, numbers, and symbols. It must be between 3 and 15 characters in length. Spaces are not allowed.
As an example, possible access codes could be:
- LUAV8ORS; or
- HSU-REDDIES
Billing
With a group sponsorship, the group creator (administrator) pays the membership fees for all other group members. Individual members are not required to maintain a paid membership but need to register for a free account. The number of users in the group is limited to the type of plan purchased.
Join an Existing Group
To join an existing group, you will need the group’s access code. It’s a secretive invitation that stops unauthorized users from participating. If you don’t have the access code, contact the group’s administrator to receive it. Access codes will not be provided by our website staff.
Join the group by visiting the My Account > Account Details page and entering the group access code into the field provided.
